Perhaps you missed something more action, but the few action scenes were excellent, the scene where Batman beats the Joker shows the brutality of the Dark Warrior and the folly of Mr. J, not to mention the scene of the Joker's death, a scene really traumatic. BATMAN became the film of that year, but nobody was prepared for what came later.
